The right believes that much of what the federal government does is not only pointless, but counter-productive and idiotic. No one on the right wants their career to be writing economically destructive "climate" regulations based on EPA pseudoscience or monitoring the number of deaf, lesbian Pacific Islanders hired by Citibank each quarter.

Hence, a lot of us on the right have no interest in going into government, meaning the jobs are filled by default by leftists who do enjoy micromanaging everyone else. We want things abolished, not restructured, which presents a quandary: How does a right-wing admininstration staff a government bureaucracy that many right-wingers want no part of and, in many cases, want to abolish altogether?
